Hawkshead Christmas Fair

There's free admission and all the picturesque alleys, squares and cobbled streets of Hawkshead village will be seasonally decorated. The Market takes place from 10am until 5pm on the Saturday, and 10am until 4pm on the Sunday.

There'll be children's rides and visitors will be entertained by some great street entertainers, including jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians and street theatre, with live street music all day. There'll be late night shopping (on Friday) and over 50 indoor and outdoor seasonal craft and gift stalls. The stalls in the Market Hall and Beatrix Potter Gallery will be selling everything from handmade rugs and trinkets to pies, puddings and pickles and Father Christmas will be in his grotto.

A Winter Beer Festival will be held with the Hawkshead pubs selling twenty-five selected winter ales and beers and Hawkshead Brewery will be offering an extensive range of festive ales. There is extra parking at a discount rate on the day. A lantern parade takes place at 4pm on Saturday with a magical display during the traditional carol singing in the Main Square at 4.30pm
