Owners at Old Park Wood Holiday Park can now experience the sights and sounds of the woodland around them in an entirely new way, with the launch of our live Naturewatch TV wildlife cameras across the park.
Available directly through televisions inside lodges and static caravans, the new camera feeds are already becoming part of many owners’ evening routines, with residents tuning in after dark to see what is happening in the woods while the rest of the park settles down for the night.
From badgers emerging to play and forage beneath the trees, to deer quietly passing through the woodland edges and owls moving silently through the darkness, the cameras are offering a fascinating glimpse into the hidden world that exists just beyond the windows of Old Park Wood.
But while the wildlife itself is remarkable, perhaps the most rewarding part of the project has been seeing just how much enjoyment owners are getting from it.
For many, it has quickly become part of the rhythm of staying at Old Park Wood. Some owners check in on the cameras with a cup of tea before bed. Others compare sightings with neighbours the following morning. There are no floodlights, no interference and no attempt to draw animals into the cameras.
