"We’re so glad we decided to buy a static caravan on Old Park Wood. The site is so much better than others we visited. The caravans are well spaced out, owners are encouraged to leave their cars by their caravans and not drive around for the sake of it, which means pedestrians come first. There are some lovely walks from the park and we especially enjoy using our Holker Hall discount card. We haven’t tried it yet but the swimming pool looks very inviting and never seems too busy. And finally the staff are all very friendly and helpful and seem to take a real pride in the jobs they do. We highly recommend this site to our family and friends."

Tom Jones to perform at Cartmel Races

Following the success of live music concerts by Simply Red and Jools Holland last year, the Cartmel Racecourse team is really looking forward to welcoming Tom Jones to the June race-meeting.

With a career that has seen him sell more than 100 million records, Sir Tom Jones has won countless accolades including a BRIT award for Outstanding contribution to Music. Knighted in 2006, the global superstar has ammassed 36 top 40 UK hits.

Tickets for the event will be available online from 9.00am on Monday 6th March. In addition to adult tickets from £45, there are also a limited number of early bird tickets at £40 which can be purchased online.

Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster - where tickets for the Conservatory Restaurant Package will cost £155 per person, plus their booking fee.

We are sorry but the usual holiday home owner discount does not apply to this race event.
