IT'S that time of year again - our end of season family fun day is nearly here.

Join us for a special get together at Old Park Wood on Saturday, October 26 to celebrate another wonderful summer among family and friends.

This popular event will feature a raft of fun competitions and activities for everyone, including a triathlon for all ages, children's entertainment, pony rides, face painting and a bouncy castle.

There will also be a sizzling barbecue, jacket potatoes, a delicious cake stall and local producers on site.

And of course, any money raised on the day in donations will go towards two worthy causes - St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston and local children's charity Butterfly Hugs.

Sue and the team at Old Park Wood said they hoped holiday home owners would turn out in force once for the day.

"There's always such a good atmosphere at the family fun day, it's something we look forward to every year.

"What's more, it's nice to get everyone together at the end of a lovely summer season.

"It's a really nice, relaxed, social occasion when the whole Old Park Wood community gets together."

Sue added: "Last year's event was a huge success - 200 people turned out in support, helping us to raise £500 for St Mary's Hospice and the defibrillator cabinet at Longlands.

"We'd love to see just as many people again in a few weeks time."
