"I, along with my family have enjoyed 27 very happy years at Holker. I believe that the park is now better than it has ever been. I have many happy memories of holidays here at Holker with my parents, family and friends. "

Oh to be the owner of a Holker Estate Holiday Home!

We’re often rather modest when it comes to shouting about the benefits of becoming a resident on one of our two parks on the South Cumbrian Holker Estate. Speaking as one of those who works on the Estate, we grow accustomed to working in such a beautiful environment and often forget what a privilege it is.

Aside from the stunning natural landscape, the many year-round activities held in and around Holker keep us all entertained! Whether it be sampling artisan produce at the Hall’s producers markets, enjoying a flutter on the horses with friends at Cartmel Races, dining at the Ilex Brasserie or embracing the festive season at the annual Winter Market.

One of the perks our residents enjoy is discounted tickets for the much-loved Cartmel Races, and the famous Holker Garden Festival, as well as a 10% discount at nearby Holker Hall’s Ilex Brasserie, Food Hall, Gift Shop and Café.   Those with a penchant for gardening and horticulture will enjoy taking advantage of the FREE seasonal access to Holker Hall and its award-winning gardens and deer park. The gardens at Holker were recently awarded the coveted BBC Countryfile Garden of the Year Award 2015/6!

But it’s not just the obvious benefits that matter of course. Many of our residents tell us it’s the small things, the things you often don’t even notice.

Our friendly park staff know every resident by name, and go out of their way to provide a helpful and professional service.

Great locations that are within an easy drive of most of the Lake District’s attractions, but that are far enough ‘out’ to enjoy peace and quiet without the hordes of tourists and traffic!

Amazing views across the Leven Estuary and the Duddon Sands (you can even fish the channels of the Leven Estuary with a permit from the Office at Old Park Wood)

Great walks from your doorstep – be it woodland, fell or beach! (There is a permissive access scheme at Old Park Wood with a selection of circular walks and cycling routes to explore!)

Residents at Old Park Wood even get their own Cartmel Peninsula micro-climate.  Thanks to the proximity to the sea and the protection from the surrounding fells and dales, we get a milder climate and more sunshine than further North.

With all this to enjoy, should residents want to share their home with friends and family, they are welcome to invite visitors to stay. And if, after a visit, friends and family want a slice of the action for themselves, we even offer residents a 15% discount off their next Site Fee bill if their recommendation leads to the sale of a Holker Holiday Home through our ‘Recommend a Friend’ scheme.
