Established in the early 1960’s, Old Park Wood has retained its friendly idyllic character and atmosphere. With gentle terraced slopes covering 40 acres of grassland and very well spaced holiday homes, the feeling of privacy and seclusion is maintained. The Park’s layout is spacious and has been carefully designed for quality not quantity.

With no noisy club house or rentals/sub letting allowed, we can assure you of peace and tranquillity combined with the benefits of this beautiful holiday community.  With a range of park facilities, those lazy days can be spent on the Park soaking up the atmosphere without wondering too far.  An evening out in the surrounding areas of Windermere, Ambleside, Grange-over-sands, Cartmel and a host of other beauty spots offering friendly pubs and restaurants to satisfy your taste buds.

For the more adventurous customers, days can be filled with exploring the great Lake District and all it has to offer.  Holker Estates offers a wide range of attractions and events throughout the year as well as the 1859 Cartmel Racecourse for those wanting a super family day out combined with a flutter on the horses all with a discounted entry price to our customers.

You can use your luxury Holiday Home in spring, summer and autumn (1st March – 31st October) and watch nature at its best.
