Your Lifestyle in the Lakes
Relax as you saunter past the historic 1856 thrilling race course, through the quaint medieval village and past the magnificent Holker Hall. With a hard turn left down the drive flanked both sides by old oak trees forming an enticing tunnel. With a further turn right your windscreen fills with the breath taking Coniston Fells making your senses tingle with anticipation. The hidden opening on the left through the ancient woodland leads you to the clearing of Old Park Wood. Your senses are instantly alive with both woodland aromas and estuary air. Dogs eagerly excited by their return to their little holiday haven bounce around the back of cars anticipating their adventurous walks.Migrating deer slow your entrance, making your anticipation heighten as you reach your destination.
Sit on your balcony with a wine glass in hand, BBQ sizzling away watching the sunset slip behind the Coniston Fells, you take a deep breath of country air and relax from the stresses and pressures of a busy life. As the darkness descends, the stars above shine clearly in the night sky unhindered by town/city lights, the only disruption from local barn and tawny owls hooting as deer wander through the encircling woodland, the occasional hedgehog sniffling past on its merry foraging trip and the resident rabbits emerging from the burrows to feast upon the lush green acreage of grass surrounding your holiday home.
Pop into the park shop for a freshly bake croissant to enjoy for breakfast before a quiet stroll through the surrounding woodland hosting the dancing Bluebells and gently swaying snowdrops, then onto the sandy shoreline of the Levens Estuary grazed by the famous saltmarsh lambs and finally across vast open fields taking in the fresh country air with not a care in the world to distract your tranquillity.
Venture further a field and soak up the atmosphere of the majestic Holker Hall and award winning gardens for free with your unique park’s privilege pass and relax in the court yard cafe with your discounted cup of tea and freshly baked scone.
Children play and grow on the Park and leave with life long friends and unforgettable memories which are evident in the numerous generations of families present on the park, some for over 40 years and those that keep returning building on their childhood memories.
